The author states, “MoreThe inspiration for A Comforter at Midnight, initiated from an unexpected storm of a spouse’s unfaithfulness which ripped Drusilla Redmon Bean’s heart apart and shattered dreams of enjoying each other and growing old together.

The author states, “After 30 years of marriage, we grew apart which led me to suspect infidelity.”She continued, “I began to write about the anger and hurt I was feeling on pieces of paper and when the pieces of paper increased, I eventually formed a journal. I realized this self-therapy eased my mind. Late at night, I could express my feelings of heartache. As the events of my husband’s deceitfulness unfolded, each entry took on a form of poetry or prose, as I was guided by the Holy Spirit.

Eventually, the actual story was told. Deceit is painful and the reality caused me to analyze different aspects of the marriage and the mistakes I made as a wife. Uncertainty entered my mind and caused feelings of inward and outward unattractiveness. It left me with a sense of worthlessness and low self-esteem. I felt betrayed.”This book is aimed at anyone who might have to deal with the deceitful storm of infidelity.

Bean says in the midnight hour, “God will send a Comforter.”
